Sustainability, Honestly

Why We Started

I’m Anny, and I wanted an eco-friendly bag I could actually afford - without compromising my values. But I quickly learned that “sustainable” often means sky-high prices or mystery materials. I decided to find a better way.

The Honest Truth

We’re a small brand. We can’t fly to Portugal & Spain to inspect every cork oak forest, and many pineapple and corn husk farmers don’t have formal certifications. So we stick to three real-world principles:

  • Farm-to-Bag Sourcing: We buy pineapple and corn husk leather directly from local farmers, giving them extra income and cutting out middlemen.

  • Practical Material Vetting: Our cork leather is imported, but we only work with long-term partners whose samples we rigorously test - no blind faith.

  • No Perfect Labels: “Eco-friendly” is our direction, not a badge. We won’t claim perfection, just genuine effort.

Our Small but Real Impact

  • Each bag repurposes 5-10 pieces of pineapple skin or corn husk, putting money back in farmers’ pockets.

  • We’ve replaced over 1000 sq. meters of synthetic leather, reducing microplastic pollution.

  • We’re always learning - making bags stronger, lighter, and greener. Got ideas? Let us know!

User Stories & Emotional Connections

  • Sarah’s Story: Sarah, a busy teacher, swapped her fast‑fashion tote for our pineapple‑leather bag. She told us it’s not just the compliments she gets but the pride she feels knowing her bag supports small farmers.

  • David’s Journey: David, an avid traveler, needed a durable yet light crossbody. After a year of daily use, his cork‑leather bag still looks fresh - reminding him that style and sustainability can travel hand in hand.

The Beauty of Contrast

Who knew a humble corn husk could become a chic crossbody bag? Sustainability doesn’t have to be burlap and twine - it can be stylish, durable, and totally you.
